For your convienence, I've provided names and descriptions to some of my favorite places. And a list of other local spots I recommend:

3. Best Italian Restaurant: Car Dario

Car Dario is the perfect place to go before a night downtown or for a romantic date. The restaurant is known for their creative twists on authentic Italian cuisine, and their ability to make Italian light and delicate while still retaining the cuisine's traditional filling nature. This place is a must, but make sure to call for a reservation because it fills up quick

4. Best Spot to Eat Before a Night on the Town
Pascucci

The best and one of the unassuming local Italian haunts. Located in fashionable Paseo Nuevo Shopping area, it is a too die for local super fresh food restaurant. Packed always and the bar is where fun, friendly and neighborly locals can exchange one or two quick words. The atmosphere is fresha and the prices are unbeatable for super fresh seafood. Try the salads: the dressings are light and delicious.

5. Best Local Montecito: Little Alex's
This is one of the least well known local 's only spots! I love the Chicken Rice Soup on a cold Winter day. Not an ounce of fat in the broth which is totally clear, meaning not over boiled and all fat has been skimmed off.he Ensalada is always fresh and the lettuce is al dente ! A bite into it and you feel refreshed.

The Montecito Cafe is a great place to grab drinks with girlfriends or to go out for a delicious lunch or dinner in Montecito. This place is reasonably priced for the Montecito location and has amazing salads, pastas, sandwiches, and drinks. I highly recommend the coconut cake! If you want you can visit their sister restaurant, Jane, on State Street.
